Project Description

The original ‘Corona’ house in Lochcarron was extensively damaged by fire and the most economic repair was to demolish and rebuild the property. Corona has remained in ownership of the same family since it was first constructed, having been built by earlier generations of the family. The stone on the front elevation had been brought to the site by rowing boat. Given the sentimental value of this material the original stone from the front elevation was salvaged and re-used in the new-build.

Upon completion of the Making Good Defects period our Clients commented “We are delighted with the house, it looks superb and we would like to say how much we appreciate the work you have put in… and to thank everyone… whose care and attention throughout has been without fault.”
