Project Description
CRGP Limited provided Project Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying and CDM Co-ordination services to Mull Slaughterhouse for the reinstatement and extending of their facility near Salen on the Isle of Mull.
The abattoir which is run by a co-operative of islanders suffered severe fire damage in late 2010, and CRGP Limited developed a remodelling and upgrading scheme through discussions with representatives of the abattoir. The alterations implemented have provided greater levels of animal welfare, allow more use of the product and therefore less waste, a larger range of butchery services and improved office and despatch facilities. Local contractor, TSL Contractors carried out the works with hand-over achieved in early August 2011.
