Congratulations to David McIntosh

Congratulations to David McIntosh of CRGP Limited on the successful completion of his Part III, which has awarded him the title of Chartered Architect.

David’s 8-year process started in 2000 when he embarked on a four-year part-time degree course in architectural studies at the Glasgow School of Art, gaining a BArch and Part 1 exemption in 2004. David then enrolled for the part-time Diploma in architectural studies again at the Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 2007, gaining Part 2 exemption in the process.

The final Part 3 examination involved writing a case study based on a project David worked on in CRGP Limited, sitting a 3 day office based examination and attending an interview. David also had to submit 2 years of log sheets detailing his project experiences and the thoughts of his employment mentor.

During his studies, David has worked full-time continuously in Architectural practice and with CRGP Limited since 2003. David remarked ‘I have been fortunate in my time with CRGP to receive the career and morale support of the Directors and other members of staff. The Directors in particular have always encouraged me and understood the difficulties associated with balancing work and part-time study.’

In April 2008, David was promoted to the position of Associate within CRGP Limited, and now his Chartered Architect status further strengthens his very valued input to the company.

David designed the recently completed Camphill Vaults / Riva Restaurant in Bothwell.
