Project Description
The award winning Junior Ranks Mess, The Richmond Centre, is a single storey building providing integrated catering, retail and leisure facilities to accommodate the requirements and needs of approximatley 2000 troops based in the newly completed surrounding accommodation blocks. The project is the final component of the Catterick Campus I masterplan, providing a dedicated Mess facility serving Junior Ranks in Richmondshire Lines. It is centrally situated within the overall scheme, functioning both as a landmark and “hinge” connecting the distinct accommodation areas of Catterick Campus and Tankadrome together to form Richmondshire Lines. The Project won – Project of the Year 2009 at the Bovis Lend Lease Defence Awards.
