Project Description
A master planning exercise has been undertaken at Marne Barracks to provide campus style accommodation for over 600 Junior Ranks Officer with an associated mess facility, works included an extensive archaeological dig prior to any construction work commencing, with the finds being reflected by mounding within the final landscaping scheme. Also incorporated within the site which is situated between the A1 and the River Swale are sustainable urban drainage systems with wetland planting and wild flower planting. The project has been undertaken over 3 phases, within the first phase 10 single living accommodation blocks have been erected with the mess and additional two blocks following there after.
